HIMSS25 Sponsor Q&A Interview: Nutanix

As digital health transformation drives disruption, healthcare organizations around the globe are focusing on ways to increase access to care, improve outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of care. This topic will be front and center at the 2025 HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition, coming up in Las Vegas from March 3 to 6, 2025.

IGEL is excited to host the IGEL Ready Partner Pavilion at Booth #748 and is proud to collaborate with our partner sponsors—LG, Island, Netskope, and Nutanix—to demonstrate how their hardware and software solutions integrate seamlessly with IGEL OS.

As part of our HIMSS 2025 sponsor interview series, we sat down with Jim Luna, Global Head of Business Development – Cloud and Technology Alliances at Nutanix, to discover what Nutanix has in store for visitors to the IGEL Ready Partner Pavilion.

Tell us about your company and how you partner with IGEL. How long have you been an IGEL Ready partner?

Jim Luna: The era of hybrid work is thriving, with more organizations seeking to utilize digital workspaces. This allows employees to securely and consistently access corporate applications, desktops, and data from any location and device. To assist companies in transitioning to a hybrid work model, it’s essential to make the process as straightforward as possible. Nutanix and IGEL are excellent partners in the end-user computing (EUC) ecosystem. Together, we offer choice and flexibility, eliminate uncertainty with our solutions and services, accelerate onboarding, and provide a seamless transition for end users. This approach helps maintain productivity and significantly simplifies the lives of IT administrators.

What are some things your organization is doing together with IGEL to enable healthcare organizations to enhance security and/or improve productivity?

Jim Luna: Nutanix and IGEL offer healthcare organizations a comprehensive and secure virtual desktop environment that includes an infrastructure platform and endpoint devices. IGEL OS provides a transformative and secure operating system designed for enterprise use, seamlessly integrating with the Nutanix platform. This combination supports efficient and centralized management of endpoint devices in Software as a Service (SaaS), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.

What will your organization showcase or demo in the IGEL Ready Pavilion at HIMSS25 this year?

Jim Luna: At HIMSS25, we are excited to showcase our innovative virtual desktop solutions powered by the Nutanix cloud platform in conjunction with IGEL OS. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how this robust combination enhances scalability, security, and performance in healthcare environments.

4) What do you want attendees at HIMSS25 to learn about your organization during the event?

Jim Luna: We want attendees at HIMSS25 to learn how Nutanix delivers unparalleled performance, security, and choice for end-user computing.

5) What do you hope to learn at HIMSS25? Are there any specific topics/sessions you are excited about?

Jim Luna: We are eager to learn about the latest trends in healthcare IT from those directly involved in patient care. This includes practitioners who work on the front lines, providers managing the complexities of healthcare delivery, and administrators who oversee the operational and financial aspects of their organizations.

6) Just for fun – what is your favorite restaurant in Las Vegas and why?

Jim Luna: Hands down, Hell’s Kitchen is my favorite dining spot when in Vegas.

We hope you will Join IGEL and Nutanix in Las Vegas for an unforgettable adventure that will educate and empower your organization to stay ahead of the trends transforming healthcare IT. To learn more about HIMSS 2025, visit https://www.igel.com/learn-and-connect/events/himss-2025/.
