I sat down with Damian Chung, Senior Director of the Business Security Office and CISO at Netskope, to discuss their new partnership with IGEL.

Tell us about your company and how you partner with IGEL. How long have you been an IGEL Ready partner?

Damian Chung: Netskope is a newly onboarded IGEL Ready partner. By combining Netskope’s cloud-native, data-centric approach to security and network performance with IGEL OS, healthcare organizations can effectively address the challenges of their modern IT environments. IGEL provides a contained and protected system for third-party software to run on–this includes the Netskope Client–with minimal risk to and maximum stability of the host.

What are some things your organization is doing together with IGEL to enable healthcare organizations to enhance security and/or improve productivity?

Damian Chung: We’re ensuring that users’ interactions with Internet-reachable resources from IGEL-hosted applications are securely and performantly enabled with the least amount of risk needed for the most productivity.

What will your organization showcase or demo in the IGEL Ready Pavillion at HIMSS25 this year?

Damian Chung: We will be showing how simple the deployment of the Netskope client into an IGEL OS12 is, and how these users can access applications of all kinds, including healthcare apps like Epic, while being protected from data loss and threats.

What do you want attendees at HIMSS25 to learn about your organization during the event?

Damian Chung: We want people to learn that IGEL has an award-winning, broadly adopted security partner that is interested in helping healthcare organizations stay safe as their users and systems increasingly leverage apps as they “SaaS-ify”.

What do you hope to learn at HIMSS25? Are there any specific topics/sessions you are excited about?

Damian Chung: We are very interested in seeing what cybersecurity and networking challenges healthcare organizations face and prioritize.

Just for fun – what is your favorite restaurant in Las Vegas and why?

Damian Chung: Off-strip – Pho & Beyond. Great food away from the craziness of downtown LV and Javiers – authentic Mexican in the middle of the desert is a reprieve.
