Plant trees to combat the climate crisis
IGEL’s vision is to transform the way the world works, creating better outcomes for people, organizations and our planet.
IGEL partners with Plant-for-the-Planet to take action for a more sustainable future. Together we spotlight global forest restoration projects to combat the climate crisis. We offer support for planting and growing trees, conserving, and restoring forest carbon sinks worldwide.

Why the world needs a trillion more trees
Restoring lost trees is essential to preventing the climate crisis. Of the original 6 trillion trees that once covered the earth’s landmass, only 3 trillion remain. Trees generate a sustainable, low-carbon future for us all by:
- reducing emissions by capturing CO2 from the atmosphere
- storing the carbon in their structure and in the soil
- protecting and improving carbon sinks like forests
Trees offer mankind valuable time to reduce CO2 emissions. Researchers at ETH Zurich assume that 1 trillion additional trees can shift the climate system tipping points by ten to 15 years.
Plant-for-the-Planet Ghana is an independent non-profit and non-governmental organization working to empower young people to fight the climate crisis and to restore degraded ecosystems in the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone in Ghana. IGEL is supporting this project with a donation in your name. You will receive a tree certificate from Plant-for-the-Planet for this restoration project.
IGEL IS COMMITTED TO PLANTING AND PROTECTING TREES
So far this year, together with our customers, partners, and Plant-for-the-Planet, we have planted over 16,000 trees in restoration projects in Mexico, Ghana, Kenya, Nepal, and Indonesia
Our goal is to plant 20,000 in 2023. Together we can achieve this goal, fill out the form above to plant trees today!
